Nikhil Mohindra has already made significant strides in the world of Padel, notably representing the Great Britain Padel team in various prestigious competitions.

Padel India, India’s official governing body for the sport, has unveiled Nikhil Mohindra as its inaugural ambassador.

At just 23 years old, Mohindra has already made significant strides in the world of Padel, notably representing the Great Britain Padel team in various prestigious competitions such as the European and FIP World Padel Championships.

With a deep-rooted pride in his Indian roots, Nikhil Mohindra is set to join forces with the governing body in a concerted effort to introduce and popularise this dynamic racket sport across the Indian landscape, marking the dawn of a new era in Padel’s journey within the country.

Alan Healy, Founder and CEO of Padel India, commented, “Padel India is thrilled to welcome Nikhil as our first ambassador, as our journey to grow this exhilarating sport in a nation that adores its racket sports, begins. With his engaging personality, his love for the sport and his passion for growing the game in India, Nikhil is the ideal fit for us as we begin our journey to bring padel to a targeted 15 million players in 300 cities across the nation.

In addition, with his expert knowledge of the sport in another emerging padel nation, Great Britain, Nikhil will be the ideal consultant for Padel India as we seek to successfully engage communities, young and old, throughout India.”

Padel is a growing sport in India, though still young compared to established racquet sports like badminton, and tennis. The federation is actively organizing tournaments and promoting the sport. This fast-paced racquet sport, similar to a mix of tennis and squash, is gaining traction with its social aspects and fun gameplay.
