Birmingham 2022 signs five sponsors to provide services and systems for Commonwealth Games

The Commonwealth Games 2022 will begin on July 28 next summer and will run till August 8.

Birmingham 2022 has signed five new sponsors, OCS Group UK, WizTeam, EventsAIR, Sports Technology (ST) and Riedel Communications, to a growing list of sponsors to deliver systems and services for a safe and successful event. The addition of several new suppliers showed the popularity of the highly anticipated event.

The UK OCS groups have been designated to carry security for the event. As an Official Security Personnel Provider, OCS will provide services such as screening, vehicle search, patrols and response teams at Alexander Stadium, Sandwell Aquatics Centre, NEC Campus Hotels and Family Hotel accommodations.

As the Official Software and Solutions Provider for Core Games Management Systems, WizTeam, will bring a set of fully unified and customisable applications for the Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay, as well as authorization and access control, plus sport entries and qualifications.

EventsAIR has been named the Official Provider of Storage and Delivery System. The management of accommodation will be taken over from the firm and will look upon the booking to and from the Games Family participating in the event through the underlying platform and secured web portals.

Sports Technology (ST) is named the Official Provider of the big screen and audio services. In addition to LED and PA systems in the mainstream locations, ST will provide a wide range of audio-visual services, including an advanced and signal distribution network in each location, providing solutions with fully integrated IP for all broadcast audio, video and non-data distribution.

Riedel Communications has been appointed as the Official Radio Communications of the event. Using its resources and previous expertise in global sporting events to provide relevant information. Riedel Communications provided Radio communication for the Queen’s Baton Relay as well as for the Olympics itself.
