The Spanish football club, AS Roma have joined hands with the global automobile brand, Toyota Group.

With this development, the brand will become the new main global partner of the club. The initiative following this association will be both on and off the field. In addition, the brand’s logo will be featured on AS Roma’s men’s and women’s teams with an immediate effect.

Speaking on the partnership, Pietro Berardi, Corporate Chief Executive Officer of AS Roma, said, “It is with great pleasure that we welcome Toyota to the Giallorossi world.

“This is a partnership that allows us to face our upcoming challenges, both on and off the pitch, alongside a partner with whom we share not only values and principles related to sport and sustainability, but also the ongoing determination to ensure we always offer the best to those who put their trust in our brands.”

The collaboration between the two parties involved will be extending onto the streets of Rome.

The club will receive a fleet of electric Toyota and Lexus vehicles from the group along with mobility services, courtesy of its own brand KINTO, which has also become the new mobility service provider of the Serie A club.

“Standing at Roma’s side from this season onwards is a further demonstration of Toyota’s commitment to both the world of sports and to companies that are focused on sustainable mobility,” said Luigi Ksawery Luca’, CEO of Toyota Motor Italia.

“It is a partnership that fits in seamlessly with our ongoing plans, which have identified sport as a sector with the principles and values in place to help promote a sustainable, safe and inclusive society.

“It is a great privilege for us to be able to put our fleet of electrified cars, and our mobility services, at the club’s disposal – doing so with the conviction that this partnership will help us to further pursue our goals of sustainability and respect for the environment.”

KINTO will enhance the mobility offerings by the club by suggesting unique solutions considering the users’ needs, keeping in mind the team’s recently adopted sustainable approach.

Mauro Caruccio, CEO of Toyota Financial Services Italia and CEO of KINTO Italia, said, “Lining up alongside a football club as prestigious as AS Roma to represent sustainable mobility is further confirmation of the successful link KINTO is building with the world of sport.

“It is with great pleasure that we are launching this partnership with a club that has already shown its ability and willingness to take on significant challenges away from the football pitch – implementing a range of invaluable initiatives that benefit entire communities.

“We are confident that together we will be able to develop many further initiatives, because KINTO’s purpose is to ensure the widest range of freedom of movement for all, through a diverse range of straightforward, inclusive and sustainable mobility solutions.”

Ahead of the commencement of the Serie A season, AS Roma signed a deal with Fendi and also onboarded Paulo Dybala on a three-year contract.
