AS Roma names Fendi as official off-field apparel provider

The deal will include both professional and informal outfits in dark blue and AS Roma's trademark yellow as well as red colours.

The Italian Serie A football powerhouse, AS Roma, has signed a two-year arrangement with Fendi to provide the squad with its official off-field apparel.

Fur, ready-to-wear, leather products, footwear, scents, eyewear, watches, and accoutrements are all produced by Fendi, an Italian luxury design brand. Fendi, which was founded in 1925 in Rome, is recognized for its fur and fur extensions, as well as its leather products.

Silvia Venturini Fendi, the LVMH-owned brand’s artistic head of accessories and menswear, will design the appearances, which will include both professional and informal outfits in dark blue and AS Roma’s trademark yellow as well as red colours.

The off-field clothing will be revealed at the start of the 2022-23 Italian League season later this summer or fall.

Fendi CEO, Serge Brunschwig, said, “This unprecedented partnership between Fendi and AS Roma originated from the common values and origins we share, celebrating the city of Rome and two firms that were founded here, one shortly after the other.”

Venturini Fendi, the designer, said, “The idea within this collaboration is to reinterpret Fendi’s and AS Roma’s codes and values creating a meeting point between the sports and fashion world through a common denominator, Roman roots and a strong link to the eternal city.”

The association displays Fendi’s aspirations to tap into its Roman roots. The label’s logo was formally modified in 2013 to include a “ROMA” subtext.
