The Carrefour Group becomes premium partner of Paris 2024

The Carrefour Group is one of the world's leading food retailers, with a multi-format system of over 13,000 stores in nearly 40 countries.

The French multinational retail company, the Carrefour Group has been named as the premium partner of the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympic Games.

Alexandre Bompard, Chairman and CEO of the Carrefour Group, and Tony Estanguet, President of Paris 2024, signed this new alliance which includes a world leader in the food distribution for the very first time in the Games’ history.

The Carrefour Group is one of the world’s leading food retailers, with a multi-format system of over 13,000 stores in nearly 40 countries. Carrefour’s network of incorporated stores employs over 370,000 people, assisting to position the company as a world leader in the food transition for everyone.

Throughout its 5000 stores and e-commerce sites, the Group has the unique capacity to bring all of France together around this massive sporting event. Furthermore, the Group is fully consistent with the mission of Paris 2024 and fully supports the objective of arranging Olympic and Paralympic Games that are sensible, sustainable, and inclusive.

The partnership, which operates under the tagline “Nourishing Every Hope,” is divided into:

– A task to provide fresh produce and natural foods (fruit, vegetables, cereal products, meat, fish, and seafood) to the Olympic and Paralympic Villages for the athletes’ meals, exposing top-quality French produce while also encouraging more viable eating.

– A branding task that boosts the immune system through diet, the value of work, social greater good, and participation through sports values.

– A business plan involving the whole of collaborators and franchises that raises awareness about disability, nutrition, and health at work through sport, among other things.

– A commercial venture with innumerable promotions, Carrefour will create unique collections in a broad range of official Paris 2024 products (clothing, stationery, back-to-school collections, etc.)
