Sourav Ganguly invests in food delivery firm JustMyRoots

Ganguly lauded JustMyRoots for its creative attitude as well as dedication to honouring various culinary experiences.

The former Indian cricket team captain, Sourav Ganguly has made an undisclosed investment in the food delivery firm, JustMyRoots.

Along with this, Ganguly will also be endorsing the brand. Dada shared the news on social media, emphasising his excitement at the investment and his backing for the company’s objective.

JustMyRoots is India’s first and biggest intercity food delivery network, with a mission to reconnect individuals with their cultural roots while also conserving regional cuisine. Ganguly lauded the organisation for its creative attitude as well as dedication to honouring various culinary experiences.

JustMyRoots is noteworthy for its subsidiary Acaya, which has created ground-breaking technologies for controlling food temperature during delivery. Acaya has developed a hot chain system that can keep food warm for four to five hours and a cold chain solution that can keep perishable food cold for up to 72 hours. The company has also filed a patent application with the Indian patent office for these solutions.

Furthermore, along with its participation in the food delivery business, JustMyRoots intends to build manufacturing factories to provide these temperature control solutions to other industries. This demonstrates the company’s intention to broaden its unique solutions outside the food industry.

According to CEO Samiran Sengupta, the company generated sales of INR 208 crore for the fiscal year 2022-2023 and plans to expand it to Rs 350 crore in the fiscal year.
