Sevilla spike up Jules Kounde’s price amidst Chelsea interest

Chelsea has agreed on personal terms with Jules Kounde.

Chelsea is edging closer towards finalising a deal for the French centre-back Jules Kounde. The London Blues have been interested in Kounde since last summer transfer window itself. Moreover, they had submitted a bid of about £55 million for the youngster but Sevilla had rejected it.

They are closer than ever to Kounde with Marina Granovskaia and the company is able to strike a deal with the Spanish club. According to reports, Chelsea had agreed to a £42 million deal for Kounde. However, now Sevilla is trying to spike up this price.

New reports suggest Sevilla wants Chelsea to submit a bid of £68-70 million which is in the range of Kounde’s release clause. This could cause major problems and the deal might falter. Additionally, Chelsea has recently sold French international Kurt Zouma to the Premier League club West Ham United.

The reported fee is said to be £29.8 million. Granovskaia is trying to purchase Kounde with the money from the sale of Kurt Zouma.
