MG Motor UK becomes latest addition to Arsenal’s sponsorship portfolio

In this arrangement, MG Motor UK has been named the official automotive partner of Arsenal FC.

The Premier League (PL) outfit, Arsenal FC have secured a multi-year pact with the UK-based global automobile company, MG Motor UK.

Through this deal, the automobile company will be seen partnering with the club’s men’s and women’s wings and will be amassing significant brand visibility at the Emirates Stadium and Meadow Park. 

Furthermore, both British entities will be working together to design interactive content to enhance engagement with the club’s worldwide fanbase. 

Expressing his remarks on this new alliance, Guy Pigounakis, Commercial Director at MG Motor UK, commented, “Joining Arsenal in our centenary year marks a significant chapter in MG’s story. We’re not just supporting a world-famous club; but aiming to drive forward the future of football by championing the growth of the women’s professional game and showing our passion for the greatest game on earth.”

Juliet Slot, Arsenal’s Chief Commercial Officer, stated, “We’re delighted to welcome MG to our family of partners. It’s a brand renowned for its history and heritage, but they also bring a forward-thinking mindset that aligns with our club’s ambitions. In their centenary year, we’re excited that MG can become part of our own long-term growth journey, and we look forward to working with them to promote their range of leading sustainable electric vehicles.”

MG Motor UK Limited is a company owned by SAIC Motor, a state-owned vehicle corporation in China, which has its headquarters situated in London. Automobiles sold under the British MG brand are marketed by MG Motor, and SAIC’s factories in China, Thailand, Indonesia, and India produce automobiles.

The Gunners are having a good 2023-24 PL season till now, as the unit is currently standing in the third spot of the league table by obtaining 43 points, which includes 13 wins in its 21 encounters, along with four draws and losses each. 

Arsenal FC are all set to face Nottingham Forest in their next encounter on Wednesday, January 31.
