Sevilla FC to feature JD’s logo on shirt sleeve for 2023/24 season

Sevilla FC have named JD as their official sponsor for the ongoing season.

The LALIGA unit, Sevilla FC have announced a sponsorship pact with the multi-brand sports distributor, JD.

Following this development, the Spanish top-flight team has named JD as the official sponsor for the ongoing season. In addition, the British sports fashion retail company’s logo will be featured on the sleeve of the club’s shirt throughout the duration of the collaboration.

José María del Nido Carrasco, Sevilla FC First Vice President, commented, “The agreement between JD and Sevilla confirms a relationship between two internationally prestigious brands. It is a powerful alliance that also strengthens a vital value for modern societies, such as sport, especially among the younger age groups.”
 
Michael Armstrong, JD Global Managing Director, said, “This is a fantastic opportunity to continue to expand our visibility, not just domestically in Spanish football but also across European competitions ahead of the UEFA Super Cup & Champions League. The sponsorship with Sevilla FC helps the brand as it continues to expand globally and enables us to engage with the club and its fans across both the men’s & women’s teams.”

JD, the British sports entity, is currently headquartered in Bury, Greater Manchester, England. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is owned by Pentland Group. JD was founded in 1981 in Bury by John Wardle and David Makin. JD currently has more than 900 stores throughout 21 territories globally.

Sevilla FC couldn’t kick off their 2023-24 LALIGA season on a brighter note as they lost against Valencia 1-2 on August 12. The unit will next face the Premier League champions, Manchester City tomorrow in the UEFA Super Cup final at 12:30 AM IST.
