LALIGA renews exclusive partnership with DAZN for Italian and Portuguese markets

Additionally, DAZN will air Spain's second division, the Segunda Division, with coverage extending to the promotion playoffs.

The global streaming platform, DAZN has renewed exclusive rights to broadcast LALIGA matches live in Italy and Portugal for an additional five years.

This extension agreement sees the subscription-based streaming service deliver Spanish top-flight football in both countries until the conclusion of the 2028-2029 season.

The deal grants the streaming service subscribers access to a comprehensive package of LALIGA content. This includes live and on-demand broadcasts of all 380 matches played per season, ensuring fans never miss a single moment of the action. Additionally, the sports streaming service will air Spain’s second division, the Segunda Division, with coverage extending to the promotion playoffs. Subscribers can also expect a wealth of supplementary content, including highlights, news updates, and in-depth analysis to keep them informed and entertained throughout the season.

DAZN’s continued partnership with the Spanish top-flight league strengthens its position as a leading player in the European sports streaming market. By securing exclusive rights in Italy and Portugal, the platform solidifies its commitment to delivering premium football content to its subscribers. This extension follows DAZN’s successful broadcast of LALIGA matches in both countries since 2018. The company further bolsters its LALIGA portfolio by holding domestic broadcast rights in Spain and possessing similar exclusive deals in other European territories.

DAZN is a streaming service dedicated to sports fans. It offers live and on-demand broadcasts of various sporting events, including popular leagues like boxing, MMA, and some football (soccer) matches.

Recently, the Spanish top flight has also announced a multi-year partnership with the trading broker, Exness.

The 2023-24 LALIGA season is heating up as it approaches its final stretch. FC Barcelona (FCB) looking to defend their title but Real Madrid CF (RM) surged ahead and currently lead the table with a commanding eight-point lead over their arch-rivals.
