Serie A announces new partnership with WSC Sports

Serie A match highlights will be automatically released on the league's social networks and other digital properties.

Italy’s top football league, Serie A has signed a new partnership deal with a global player in AI-driven sports video technology, WSC Sports.

This new deal with WSC Sports has been inked to automatically create real-time highlights of all Serie A, Supercoppa Frecciarossa, and Coppa Italia Frecciarossa matches.

Machine learning technology from WSC Sports examines actions as they occur, indexing, cropping, and applying graphics to videos. WSC Sports’ full suite of automation tools will be used by the Italian top-flight to encapsulate every moment of a match and then automatically generate and distribute video highlights in real-time and at scale. Serie A match highlights will be automatically released on the league’s social networks and other digital properties.

Since early 2022, Serie A has been effectively using WSC Sports to boost the number of views and interactions on their video content. So far, Serie A content has received an unprecedented number of views throughout their owned and managed systems.
