Pixellot becomes video and analytics provider at Fiorentina’s new training complex

Pixellot will supply cutting-edge video and data technologies to boost training and coaching for all club sides on nine pitches at its new facility.

The world’s leading supplier of AI-powered sports video and analytics solutions, Pixellot has announced that it has agreed to become the exclusive video and analytics solution provider at ACF Fiorentina‘s new state-of-the-art training complex.

Pixellot will supply cutting-edge video and data technologies to boost training and coaching for all club teams on nine pitches at its new facility, which will open at the end of the year in the municipality of Bagno a Ripoli. Furthermore, the academy’s home matches will be live-streamed on Fiorentina’s platform.

The new Fiorentina training ground and club headquarters will be one of Italy’s biggest sports complexes, encompassing approximately 25 hectares. The vision of the club’s owner, Rocco Commisso, marks the first time Fiorentina will have its own training facility in its history. This cutting-edge facility will serve as a hub for the men’s and women’s first teams, as well as the youth academy. The move allows Fiorentina to grow both athletically and technologically.

Fiorentina will benefit from Pixellot’s diverse product solutions, which also include installed and portable live streaming cameras, as well as a data analysis and video analysis platform, as part of this new alliance. Pixellot provides automatically produced video for coding, tagging, and annotating after games and practises, in addition to high-quality capture and live streaming. To gain an unrivalled competitive edge, Fiorentina coaches will have access to game video, automated highlights, in-depth analytics, and full video breakdowns, such as shot charts and heatmaps.

Joe Barone, General Manager of Fiorentina, said, “Our new training complex will be the most advanced football facility in the country, and we needed technology that matches that ambition. Pixellot was the clear choice for high-quality video capture, streaming, and analytics. This technology will be an invaluable tool for our coaches and analysts to improve player coaching and help us find the next stars of the club.

Alon Weber, CEO of Pixellot, said, “We are excited to be working with Fiorentina to make their vision of becoming one of the most innovative clubs in Europe a reality. Our partnership will enable Fiorentina to leverage cutting-edge technology to analyze games to improve coaching and talent identification for players. Our technology has the ability to revolutionise not only coaching, but also the way that Fiorentina engages with the wider community and the global fans of the club.”
