Following the extension, Unicoop Firenze will continue to be the GDO partner of the club for the second consecutive year. The extension will mark the starting of a new initiative where the brand will sponsor the Fiorentina Baby programme, which gives newborn children a “My First Viola shirt” as a special gift.
Families can get their free Fiorentina match jersey for infants by going to www.fiorentinababy.it and following the instructions. Families with newborn children will now be able to collect their gift from InViola points, Fiorentina Stores, or one of the 13 Coop.fi stores mentioned on the site, courtesy of the support of Unicoop Firenze.
Claudio Vanni, Unicoop Firenze’s External Relations Manager, said, “We were very excited about joining this scheme for children entering the world. In this way, we are making a small but symbolic contribution to families at a special time as they welcome a new life into the fold. Fiorentina and Unicoop have joined forces on many previous occasions and are doing so again now for what is a moment of joy and hope.”
Enrico Peruzzo, Revenue Director, Unicoop Firenze, said, “This is a very important initiative for Fiorentina and we think Unicoop Firenze is the ideal partner for it. We believe greatly in this partnership, which is also an opportunity for us to share values and a sense of community. With Unicoop Firenze’s aid, we’ll be able to expand our Fiorentina Baby scheme throughout Florence and into many other Tuscan provinces, connecting with even more Viola fans.”
Unicoop Firenze is a consumer cooperative that provides shopping centres, gift cards, social loans, point-of-sale services, and lottery tickets. The company was founded in Florence, Italy in 1891.
The Italian top-flight team is currently standing eighth on the points table of the ongoing season. They will be facing off against Atalanta BC in their next encounter on Sunday, September 17.
