The Pakistan Super League (PSL) team, Peshawar Zalmi have inked a partnership extension with the Pakistani tyre company, GTR Tyre.
In this extended association, the brand will continue to remain the official tyre partner of the side for the upcoming PSL 2024.
The team via its social media handles, announced the extension with the caption, “𝐒𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐨 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐇𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐓𝐑 𝐁𝐲 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞 🚁We are excited to announce @gtrtyre as our official tyre partner for the second year, we navigate another year of thrilling journey of #HBLPSL9 🤝.”
GTR, formerly The General Tyre and Rubber Company of Pakistan, is a Pakistani tyre manufacturer based in Karachi. The company was originally founded by General Tyre International Corporation (GTIC) of the United States, with a total capacity of only 120,000 tyres per year.
Before this deal, the side also inked commercial ties with TCL, Khyber TV Channel, Gym Armour, Haier and Dawn Media Group.
The team, led by Babar Azam, will attempt to replicate its success from the 2017 season. The Zalmis will play their season opener against Quetta Gladiators on February 18 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
