Indian Super League team Chennaiyin FC has agreed to get sports brand Nivia on board as its official kit sponsor. With this deal, Nivia will have all the rights regarding the sale of the official kits and merchandise along with the selling of replicas.
Nivia Sports is a well-known sports brand in India and has a strong customer base. This will enable Chennaiyin FC to increase its brand value too. Moreover, Nivia’s jerseys will be reasonably priced and will hence cater to the needs of the Indian audience. The sports company sells a variety of products ranging from shoes, sportswear and footballs.
This will be a multi-year deal partnership that will begin from the 2021-22 Indian Super League season. Both parties will be benefiting from this agreement as the sportswear company tries to tap the Indian football market which is especially strong in South India.
“The new season of the ISL is around the corner and Nivia is extremely proud to be kick-starting the association with the two-time champions, Chennaiyin FC. We hope this new collaboration between Chennaiyin FC and Nivia helps bring out the best,” said Rajesh Kharabanda managing director of Nivia.
Additionally, Nivia will also be selling official merchandise for the club which will include football boots, bags, caps, track pants, t-shirts and more.
“The collection will also comprise a fanwear selection of polo tees, shorts, trousers and boots, underscoring both brands’ desire to enhance the collaboration beyond a traditional sports sponsorship model,” announced the club.
