MotoGP adds Estrella Galicia 0,0 to its sponsorship portfolio

As the sport enters its first mega-season of the new era, the Estrella Galicia 0,0 name will become ubiquitous in MotoGP

MotoGP has announced a new multi-year sponsorship agreement with the iconic beer brand, Estrella Galicia 0,0. As part of the deal, the brand has been named the official beer of the pinnacle of motorcycle racing.

As the sport enters its first mega-season of the new era, the Estrella Galicia 0,0 name will become ubiquitous in MotoGP and be accessible to millions of fans worldwide.

With a footprint in more than 60 countries and a history dating back to 1906, Estrella Galicia 0,0 has created some of the most recognisable beers in the world. The brand is the ideal choice for the official Beer of MotoGP as it already has significant involvement in motorsport, including various partnerships in the paddock.

Since 2011, Estrella Galicia 0,0 has gained recognition for its support of motorbike racing talent. The beer brand has helped riders at every stage of their careers, from their very first professional racing experience in the European Talent Cup and JuniorGP to the MotoGP. Estrella Galicia 0,0 has supported various MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 teams and riders for more than ten years. Thanks to legendary champions like Marc Marquez, Joan Mir, Alex Marquez, and Franco Morbidelli, Estrella Galicia 0,0 has participated in 12 World Championships and over one hundred Grand Prix victories.

At some point in their racing careers, more than half of the 22 riders on the MotoGP grid received sponsorship from Estrella Galicia 0,0. Being named the official beer of MotoGP by Estrella Galicia 0,0 is a logical development in the relationship between the two parties given their shared commitment to excellence.

Owing to MotoGP broadcasts and spectators in the stands, the renowned Estrella Galicia 0,0 brand will have a global presence. Trackside advertising will also span a large portion of the calendar in the first season of this new agreement, and it will be expanded to other sites in subsequent campaigns.

This agreement places a special emphasis on creating joint initiatives within the MotoGP community, collaborating together to establish a more sustainable entertainment model to put positive influence at the top of the agenda, in addition to all the commercial benefits at various racetracks throughout the record-breaking 2023 calendar, such as a committed brand space in the paddock for sharing the culture and DNA of the family-owned independent Spanish brewery.

Moreover, Estrella Galicia 0,0 will be present in the MotoGP VIP Village, guaranteeing the brand has a significant presence in the MotoGP corporate hospitality programme.

The announced partnership also comprises a digital package, guaranteeing the new official beer of MotoGP accesses every facet of the sport’s worldwide audience: the paddock, the grandstands, online platforms, and television transmission – reaching hundreds of millions of fans.

Ignacio Rivera, CEO of Corporación Hijos de Rivera (Estrella Galicia 0,0), commented, “Motorcycling racing is one of the projects that has given us the most reasons for celebrations with Estrella Galicia 0,0 in recent years. Encouraging the development of the talent of riders has been and continues to be our raison d’être since we entered the paddock in 2011 and, after a decade of enjoying their success, we are delighted to be able to go one step further and become the official beer of the MotoGP World Championship at a global level, something which is undoubtedly a milestone for our company. We are not only united by our values of excellence and innovation, but also by a non-conformist nature that drives us to set challenges to work together with the whole community, progressively embedding positive impact as part of the MotoGP agenda.”

Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, said, “We’re delighted to welcome Estrella Galicia as the Official Beer of MotoGP. A global brand with a rich history in motorsport makes for a perfect partner for the world’s biggest motorcycle racing Championship. We’re very much looking forward to seeing the Estrella Galicia 0,0 name at the track and across our broadcasts, as well as welcoming their initiatives in the paddock and MotoGP VIP Village as we build on this strong partnership in the coming years.”
