Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS focuses on sustainability in new pact with Signify

Signify and Mercedes F1 Team are dedicated to responsible innovation, based on the shared idea that performance should not be compromised for sustainability.

The Formula 1 team, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team has announced a new partnership with Signify, a Dutch multinational lighting corporation.

The collaboration will help the Mercedes F1 Team improve its performance and achieve its goal of becoming one of the world’s most sustainable professional sports teams. Moreover, Signify innovations will further the health and efficiency of drivers and engineers.

Signify and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 are dedicated to responsible innovation, based on the shared idea that performance should not be compromised for sustainability. As both teams work to revolutionise their sectors, responsible innovation improves performance and leads to long-term consequences.

Signify has pioneered the change and decarbonisation of the lighting sector and has also released its 2040 Climate Transition Plan, which outlines its goal of reaching net zero by 2040. The new agreement includes a commitment from Signify to provide information and experience to assist the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team in formulating its Climate Transition Plan.
