Legends League Cricket announces inclusion of two new teams

Urbanrisers Hyderabad and Southern Super Stars are the two new franchises that will be competing in the upcoming LLC edition.

The T20 league featuring retired players, Legends League Cricket (LLC) has unveiled the inclusion of two new teams.

Urbanrisers Hyderabad and Southern Super Stars are the two new franchises that will be competing in the upcoming LLC edition, which will be held in November.

Both the franchises have been paid $15 million each to compete in the highly anticipated competition.

JC Pavan Reddy, MD of Trident Power Pvt Ltd, and Urbaniser Group, the real estate brand are the owners of the Hyderabad-based team.

The Southern Super Stars franchise is owned by a group of companies that includes, KLO Sports, co-founded by Sanjay Jupudi and Srinadh Chitoori.

Raman Raheja, Co-founder and CEO of Legends League Cricket, said, “After the first season, we have signed two big corporate houses. We look forward to creating value for all the franchisees and build a very strong business case with LLC.”

The other teams featuring in the upcoming tournament are – India Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Bhilwara Kings, and Manipal Tigers.

Around 200 players will be playing in the marquee T20 competition, with its matches to be held in cities such as Ranchi, Jammu, Dehradun, Visakhapatnam, and Surat.

In the last edition, India Capitals emerged as the champions of the competition after defeating Bhilwara Kings by 104 runs in the final played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
