Los Angeles Lakers partner up with Spectrum to launch new streaming platform

Los Angeles Lakers and Spectrum's brand-new platform SportsNet+ will broadcast all the games of the Lakers in areas such as South California, Hawaii, and Southern Nevada.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) team, Los Angeles Lakers have announced a partnership with the American OTT company, Spectrum.

Following the partnership, both entities will launch a brand-new platform, SportsNet+ which will broadcast all the games of the Lakers in areas such as South California, Hawaii, and Southern Nevada. The platform will also deliver exclusive content for its supporters. 

SportsNet+ offers Lakers supporters a broader bundle that costs $19.99 per month or $179.99 per year, which includes authenticated access to the service as well as a 24/7 feed of television. 

Tim Harris, President of Business Operations of Los Angeles Lakers, said, “This new service gives Lakers fans another way to watch their favourite team in action on the court. The launch of Spectrum SportsNet+ brings the premium, in-depth coverage, analysis and behind-the-scenes content to more fans across the region, allowing us to reach more people every day and grow the next generation of Lakers fans.”

Spectrum TV Stream is an over-the-top internet television service in the United States, which is owned by Charter Communications. Exclusive to Charter Spectrum internet users, the service is designed to function as a virtual multichannel video content distributor.
