Liverpool, Standard Chartered sign shirt sponsorship extension

The two entities involved have been collaborators since 2010.

The iconic Premier League club, Liverpool Football Club have signed a partnership renewal with the British multinational banking services company, Standard Chartered Bank. The association has been extended for four more years and this development will complete a total of 17 seasons of partnership, until the end of the 2026-27 edition.

The prestigious English top flight club based in Liverpool is one of the most decorated teams in European football, winning Premier League 19 teams and Champions League six times.

The two entities involved have been collaborators since 2010 and the current association was supposed to conclude next summer.

According to The Times, the extension has been signed for over £200 million for the next cycle.

This lucrative development also include Liverpool FC Women as they are promoted to the Women’s Super League.

Speaking on the association, Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan said, “This is a hugely significant partnership for LFC and I could not be prouder to confirm a four-year extension to our already long and successful partnership with Standard Chartered.

“We have been on an incredible journey together and Standard Chartered’s support has been a key driver in our most recent successes, both on and off the pitch, with their loyalty and commitment to Liverpool Football Club.

“Our partnership has been able to thrive because of our shared values and we look forward to continuing to work together to help and support our communities and supporters around the world.”

While commenting on the extension, Bill Winters of Standard Chartered, said, “When we partnered with Liverpool FC in 2010 we could not have imagined the success of both the partnership and of the Club.

“Liverpool FC has been a true partner and, as one of the world’s best-known football clubs, we are proud to be associated with them. We are delighted to be continuing our partnership for the next four years and look forward to building on our already successful relationship.”

In the recently concluded Premier League season, the Reds finished second on the points table with 92 points. Liverpool will be seen next in action on Friday, July 15 against Crystal Palace in Club Friendlies.
