Football Club Goa (FC Goa) is an Indian professional football club, that plays in the top flight of Indian football, the Indian Super League (ISL). The club was founded in 2014 in the same year ISL saw its entry in the Indian football with eight teams participating in it, among those, there was the Gaurs.
In their first season, FC Goa finished second in the ISL table, collecting 22 points in 14 games. Following which they qualified for the semi-final, but unfortunately lost against Atletico de Kolkata in the penalty shootout. Next season they reached the finals but lost to Chennaiyin FC, again in 2018/19 they booked their spot in the finals but lost to Bengaluru FC. Last season, the club finished fourth in the league table, collecting 31 points from 20 matches.
However, despite not getting their hands on the ISL trophy, FC Goa has the 2019 Indian Super Cup and has also won the ISL League Winners Shield in the 2019/20 season. FC Goa has signed a multi-year partnership with Reyaur Sports, which is a growing Indian sportswear brand. In this association, Reyaur Sports has been labelled as the official kit and merchandise partner of the Gaurs.
The sportswear brand will be supplying FC Goa’s playing training and travel wear for the men’s senior and youth teams, and in addition, it will also provide to the coaching and support staff. Apart from that, Reyaur Sports will also be producing FC Goa’s official merchandise for the club fans as per the agreement.
Recently, the Goa-based club landed two deals, first with a sports news portal 1Xnews. Following this deal between both entities, 1Xnews has been appointed as the club’s principal title sponsor for the ISL 2021/22 season. Apart from that, 1Xnews will find its logo on the chest of the club jersey and training kits throughout this entire ISL season.
While the sports news platform will also be promoted through FC Goa’s various social media graphics, and the brand name will also be present in-stadium during FC Goa fixtures. Apart from that 1Xnews will be updating FC Goa fans about their club’s news through their news portal.
Lastly, the Gaurs have landed one of the leading crypto coins, Floki as its new associate sponsor. In this development, Floki’s branding will be displayed on the LED screens during all the FC Goa home matches. The two organisations will also work together in bringing different fan-focused promotional assets. Apart from these, FC Goa has a partnership with Bundesliga giants, RB Leipzig, labelled as strategic partners, where the German side has promised to train and polish the skills of the young Indian footballer.
The ISL 2021/22 season has already started on 19th November, with three matches already being played. However, FC Goa is yet to commence their ISL 2021/22 campaign as they will face Mumbai City FC on 22nd November, at Fatorda Stadium, Goa.
