ISL 2021/22 Sponsors Watch: Mumbai City FC

The club has roped in quite a number of sponsors for the upcoming season.

Mumbai City FC is ready to defend their ISL title this season after showcasing a great performance in the last edition by lifting the title for the first time in their history. The club is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and has been playing in the Indian Super League since its inception in 2014.

Playing their first season in the ISL, the club showed a very disappointing performance after finishing seventh in the league table, collecting 16 points in 14 matches. But in the previous season, after a big announcement of City Football Group acquiring the club, their fate changed. Mumbai City FC emerged as the champions of the ISL 2020/21 season, while continuing their form, the club also lifted the League Winner Shield.

Now that’s all about their on-field performance, let’s switch to the business pitch, as Mumbai City FC roped in some of the big sponsors ahead of the ISL 2021/22 season.

The Islanders signed a three-year partnership with one of the biggest game creators, EA Sports. Following this deal, EA sports has emerged as the official club partner and will work together with the club in creating some exciting and entertaining content to encourage the fans. While EA Sports will take the back of the players’ shorts to place their logo, and will also promote itself during the club’s home game and in their training facility.

Mumbai City has got on board Expo 2020 Dubai as the principal partner. Expo 2020 Dubai will be featuring on the front of Mumbai City FC jersey during their domestic and Asian campaigns in the Indian Super League and AFC Champions League.

Apart from these, the Islanders have Puma as an official kit partner, Cisco as the official network technology partner, Xylem as the official water technology partner, Therabody as the official recovery partner, and lastly DafaNews as the club’s official principal partner.

The club has roped in quite a number of sponsors for the upcoming season. Mumbai City FC will be playing their first match of ISL 2021/22 season against FC Goa on November 22.
