JioCinema strikes deal with ShareChat & Moj to bring short-form sports content to millions

As per the pact, JioCinema gains access to the massive user base of ShareChat and Moj, boasting over 325 million users combined.

JioCinema, India’s leading streaming platform, has announced a partnership with ShareChat and Moj, two of the country’s most popular short-form video apps. 

This collaboration aims to bring JioCinema’s extensive sports content to a wider audience through bite-sized highlights and engaging formats.

The focus of the partnership lies in catering to the growing demand for short-form content, a niche that ShareChat and Moj have successfully carved. JioCinema will provide these platforms with curated sports highlights, interviews, and other engaging content like unheard tales, anecdotes, and conversations from dressing rooms, allowing users to stay updated on their favourite teams and athletes within the familiar interface of ShareChat and Moj.

As per the pact, JioCinema has been enabled access to the massive user base of ShareChat and Moj, boasting over 325 million users combined. This expanded reach allows JioCinema to introduce its platform and content to a wider audience, potentially driving user acquisition and engagement.

Furthermore, the partnership emphasizes regional content promotion. Viacom18‘s OTT platform’s library boasts content in various Indian languages, making it accessible to a diverse audience across the country. This caters perfectly to the regional focus of ShareChat and Moj’s user base.

Fans can expect to see highlights from major sporting events like the Women’s Premier League (WPL), Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, the Indian Super League (ISL), and even the highly anticipated Paris Olympics 2024.
