IPL 2024 LSG vs CSK: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

Out of the three games in the head-to-head contest, one was abandoned due to weather, while one each has been won by both sides.

In the 34th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow today, i.e., Friday, April 19 at 7:30 PM IST.

LSG are currently fifth in the points table with three wins from six games but two consecutive losses have given them a completely different perspective on this game at home. Another slip-up and the unit may find itself further behind. KL Rahul has gotten the start in the last few games but failed to carry on. The likes of Deepak Hooda, Quinton de Kock, and Marcus Stoinis are also not particularly impacting the game, while Nicholas Pooran has been single-handedly taking the responsibility to finish off the innings on a high note. Mohsin Khan was the only wicket-taker for LSG in the last game, and the team will surely want more from Krunal Pandya, Yash Thakur, and others.

CSK, on the other hand, are sitting comfortably in third position courtesy of four wins from six games. Another win and they will go up the ladder and take second place from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The unit has quality depth in its batting, which includes skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, who batted at number three. Along with him, Shivam Dube is also in great form and would like to continue the same. While Daryl Mitchell and Rachin Ravindra are getting off to a great start as well, they would like to increase their strike rate and stay in the crease for a little while longer. MS Dhoni‘s 20 runs were the difference maker in the last match against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium and surely fans would want to see more of him at number six. With the ball, the side has been demolishing opponents with leg cutters, balls that angle out and wide yorkers. Mustafizur Rahman and Matheesha Pathirana have been at the forefront of the bowling lineup while Shardul Thakur and Tushar Deshpande have been decent too.
