India tour of West Indies 2023 3rd T20I: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

India won 17 of the 27 games between the two teams while West Indies won nine of them.

In the third T20I match of the five-match series, India will take on the West Indies at the Providence Stadium in Guyana today i.e. August 8 at 8:00 PM IST.

Indian captain Hardik Pandya would be dissatisfied with his team’s blunders during crucial moments in both games thus far. India had the advantage of breaching the winning line, but they were unable to exercise the correct judgments when it counted most. Additionally, the fact that this has occurred at a time when the Caribbean team is perhaps at its lowest in terms of confidence and squad strength complicates matters for the Indian team. Batting hasn’t lived up to expectations, whether from Ishan Kishan or Shubman Gill, and it’s an essential component to improve as the series enters a do-or-die situation. Suryakumar Yadav‘s lack of runs at number three has been a significant setback for the Men in Blue, but the squad will be eager to go back to run-scoring ways if they want to keep their hands on the trophy. Bowling efforts, whether from Yuzvendra ChahalArshdeep Singh, Pandya or Kuldeep Yadav, have exceeded expectations to put India in contention, but batsmen haven’t fully acclimated to the two-paced nature of the surfaces available. The team will be hungry to make a comeback and bring the series score to 2-1 with tonight’s contest.

On the other hand, with three T20Is to go, West Indies have an opportunity of capturing their first series of two or more games against India in any format since 2016. The team also have the opportunity to win back-to-back T20I series for the first time since 2017. If they succeed, it would be an enormous boost to trust for West Indies, who will be hosting the T20 World Cup in a mere twelve months. Nicholas Pooran and Shimron Hetmyer who have been charged with dealing with India’s wrist spinners, have remained at the heart of their accomplishments. Skipper Rovman Powell has also demonstrated his batting abilities as well as some athleticism when sprinting between the wickets. With bowlers like Jason Holder, Obed McCoy, Alzarri Joseph and Romario Shepherd, the side is also looking good with the ball as well. The host team would want to repeat their success and sweep the series tonight itself.

Head-to-Head:

India won 17 of the 27 games between the two teams while West Indies won nine of them. One game also concluded without a result.
