Greenko and Core become title sponsors for Formula E races

The race in India will be the first FIA-sanctioned affair since 2013.

Greenko, a renewable energy company, and Core, a lifestyle brand, have announced new title sponsorship agreements for Formula E races held in India and Saudi Arabia, respectively.

Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, is hosting a double-header of events, with both races bearing the name Core. Core is a Saudi clothing company with various divisions that include social wellness clubs, food and beverage, residences, and adventure and jaunts. The Diriyah E-Prix night races will take place within Diriyah’s Unesco World Heritage site’s town walls.

On the other hand, Greenko, an Indian company, will sponsor the nation’s first single-seater motorsport championship for electric cars race next month. The Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix, which takes place on February 11, will be officially known as such.

Greenko reached an agreement with Formula E and race organiser Ace Nxt Gen to influence the event with green energy.

The race will be the first Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA)-sanctioned affair in India ever since the last Formula 1 race in New Delhi in 2013.
