The German club, FC Bayern Munich and Viessmann have announced the expansion of their international partnership. In this agreement, Viessmann will now be named as the official climate partner of the club. Both have worked together closely in the Asian market for several years, which had been beneficial for both. Following this expansion, FC Bayern and Viessmann are now going to cover Spain, France, Poland, and Russia, apart from the Asian region.
Labelled as the official climate partner, Viessmann will be ensuring that FC Bayern is fully equipped with climate-friendly and sustainable heating, cooling, and ventilation solutions. While apart from that, the German manufacturer will also be motivating other football and sports enthusiasts to use Viessmann climate solutions. Following this, it is believed that both will work together to reduce the level of carbon dioxide.
Speaking on the occasion, Oliver Khan, FC Bayern CEO, said: “FC Bayern will benefit immensely from the innovative ideas of this partnership. As a family business with over 100 years of history, Viessmann is taking responsibility for the sustainable use of resources for generations to come. As a brand, we have enormous appeal, making us a role model for millions of fans.”
While adding to it, Andreas Jung, FC Bayern executive board member for marketing, sponsorship, and events said, “Taking the bond between the two brands, which has grown from the Asian market to other European countries is an outstanding sign of how partnerships are lived at FC Bayern: successful, reliable and sustainable. Finding climate-friendly solutions for the challenges of our time is close to our hearts at FC Bayern. With Viessmann, we have the perfect partner by our side for this.”
Lastly, Thomas Heim, Viessmann’s Chief Sales, and Marketing Officer said, “We create living spaces for future generations — this is our corporate purpose and the significant contribution that we can and want to make as a company,”. “We at Viessmann, alongside all our global family members and our partners from the industry, will realise the transformation to a 100 percent green and sustainable portfolio consisting of heating, cooling and ventilation within a few years. We are now setting the strategic cornerstones and making the necessary investments to do that. In FC Bayern München, we have found the partner with whom we can live and communicate this philosophy internationally.”
On the field, FC Bayern will be playing against FC Augsburg on 20th November in the Bundesliga. The German giants are currently leading the league table collecting 28 points from their last 11 matches.
