EA Sports, PGMOL sign partnership extension

This association includes Premier League, Emirates FA Cup and EFL.

The American videogame company, Electronic Arts Inc. has inked a three-year extension to its partnership with Professional Game Match Officials (PGMOL). 

This development will see EA Sports continue to sponsor match officials in women’s games for the upcoming three years. EA Sports has been termed as an official partner until the conclusion of the 2024/25 season. 

This association includes the English top flight Premier League, Emirates FA Cup and EFL.

In addition, EA Sports will also sponsor match officials in Barclays WSL, Barclays Women’s Championship, FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup and the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.   

In this renewal, EA Sports will be featured across training wear and shirt sleeve of all professional match referees, assistant referees and fourth officials. The branding of EA Sports will also be visible across the referee handbooks and PGMOL official documentation.  

Speaking about working with EA Sports, Mike Riley, Managing Director of PGMOL, said, “We have enjoyed a successful partnership with EA SPORTS for seven years so we are naturally delighted to continue our partnership until 2025. They continue to be a great fit for PGMOL given their strong affiliation with football and their commitment to promoting the women’s game.

“This partnership also aids our continued desire to enhance the development of refereeing in England as it helps us to fund the training and development of officials.”
