Conor McGregor acquires stake in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship

The worldwide reach that McGregor offers to BKFC will serve as a motivator for the promotion to reach new audiences and markets.

The Irish professional mixed martial artist and former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion, Conor McGregor has revealed that he would co-own the combat sports promotion Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC).

During BKFC KnuckleMania 4, the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion announced that his McGregor Sports and Entertainment organisation had invested in BKFC, while Triller maintained majority ownership.

On the development, McGregor said, “Ladies and gentlemen, the huge announcement that I have for you today, Conor McGregor myself and McGregor Sports and Entertainment is now an owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships. Welcome to the big leagues. David Feldman, baby, we did it.”

The Irishman attended the BKFC 41 event on April 29, 2023, and even stood off against Mike Perry after the latter defeated Luke Rockhold. McGregor also mentioned that he would be interested in engaging in a bare-knuckle battle after the event.

BKFC President, David Feldman, said, “You’ve got the biggest guy in all of combat sports right now as a part owner of our company. I think it’s just going to move the needle tremendously. We’re going to do a lot of big things. We’re going to open up a lot of new markets. Look, we’re partners with Conor McGregor. Everybody in the combat sports world, everybody in the world knows who that guy is. So Conor, thank you and let’s blow this up.”

The worldwide popularity and reach that McGregor offers to BKFC will serve as a motivator for the promotion to reach new audiences and markets.

McGregor’s stake in BKFC follows the UFC’s news that he would return to the cage for the first time in over three years to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29, 2024.
