NBA, WNBA name UWM’s Mortgage Matchup as official mortgage partner

Mortgage Matchup will work with NBA and WNBA on marketing and promotional initiatives to broaden the reach of its platform.

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBA) have developed a multi-year association with the American wholesale mortgage lender, United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM).

With this deal, UWM’s consumer-facing brand, Mortgage Matchup has become the official mortgage partner of the NBA and WNBA, commemorating both league’s first-ever mortgage collaboration.

Mortgage Matchup will work with the leagues on marketing and promotional initiatives to broaden the reach of its platform. The firm will work to raise awareness of the advantages of working with a mortgage broker and making it simpler for fans to access the resources they require when buying or refinancing a home. Mortgage Matchup provides consumers and real estate agents with educational materials about the homebuying and refinancing process, in addition to a searchable database of local independent mortgage brokers.

Notably, UWM has been a partner of Detroit Pistons since the 2021-22 NBA season, and its emblem is prominently displayed on the team shirts.
