Classplus ropes in Sourav Ganguly as brand ambassador

Classplus assists educators and content creators by introducing and expanding their online coaching businesses.

The former Indian cricket team captain and the current Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President, Sourav Ganguly has announced a new partnership with an edtech startup, Classplus to endorse thousands of educators and content creators by becoming a brand ambassador for them.

Classplus assists educators and content creators by introducing and expanding their online coaching businesses. The brand has collaborated with Ganguly to launch this first-of-its-kind venture for edupreneurs in which the former Indian captain is seen endorsing their local brand.

The video clip he shared on social media showcases some of Classplus’ many educators and content creators. To endorse these edupreneurs, the video uses advanced AI-powered equipment to recreate Ganguly’s presence. Ganguly says in the 30-second clip, “The first step towards achieving your dreams is having the right coach.” He then inspires audiences to install the educators’ branded Classplus apps to achieve a specified goal.

Mukul Rustagi, CEO and Co-Founder, Classplus, said, “Through this campaign we want to send across this message that we truly think of the thousands of educators and content creators associated with us, as our partners. That’s why Sourav Dada isn’t just our brand ambassador but theirs too. With Dada himself by their side, we hope to help these edupreneurs further grow their reach and take their business to newer heights.”

Classplus has already digitised over 1 lakh educators and content creators and aids them in producing and selling their online courses. This guarantees that they can easily monetize their content and develop their online brand. The startup recently raised $70 million in a Series D round led by Alpha Wave Global and Tiger Global, bringing its total valuation close to $600 million.
