CEAT becomes strategic timeout partner for Women’s T20 Challenge 2022

According to CEAT, this partnership aims to bring women's cricket in India to the same level as men's cricket.

CEAT has been appointed the official strategic timeout partner for the Women’s T20 Challenge 2022, which will begin on Monday (May 23) and conclude on Saturday with the final (May 28).

The Women’s T20 Challenge is India’s biggest domestic women’s cricket competition, and in recent years it has grown in popularity among cricket fans, thanks to Asia’s expanding female cricket audience.

According to CEAT, this partnership aims to bring women’s cricket in India to the same level as men’s cricket.

CEAT has had a long-standing relationship with Indian cricket, whether through bat sponsorship with ace cricketers or as the official timeout partner of the much-celebrated cricket competition Indian Premier League (IPL) since 2015.

Harmanpreet Kaur, the T20I captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, has complimented CEAT for its assistance to female cricketers. “We thank CEAT for their continuous support to cricket in India and setting an example of breaking the gender stereotypes. We are looking forward to many such associations with CEAT for strengthening women’s cricket in India.”

The strategic time-out was introduced a few years ago to allow teams to recall their strategies throughout the game. During each innings, there are two time-outs of 2 minutes and 30 seconds each, the first of which can be used between overs six and nine, and the second between overs 13 and 16.
