Australia tour of India 2023 5th T20I: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

In the 30 T20I matches that the two teams have played against each other, Australia have won 11 and the Men in Blue have won 18.

In the fifth and final match of the T20I bilateral series, India will take on Australia at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru today, December 3, at 7 PM IST.

The series is done and dusted but a match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium is never a dull outing for both players and fans. With the series already claimed by India by 3-1, the side would still like to finish the event on a high. The new guns of the Men in Blue, be it Ruturaj Gaikwad, Yashasvi Jaiswal, or Rinku Singh, have all showcased their ability and shown that they can be pure and proper contenders for the side when it comes to the big ICC events. Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer are yet to fire in the series and would like to do so on a flat wicket in Bengaluru. It makes sense that bowlers will struggle as the track will favour batters. It will undoubtedly be a challenge for players like Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Deepak Chahar and co. but they’ll be up for it.

On the other hand, Australia had a decent outing in the last match, as they only lost by 20 runs. Most likely, if the side once again wins the toss, they would like to bowl again. Travis Head and skipper Matthew Wade are the only two players who displayed top form, while Tim David, Matthew Short, and others need to step up as well. With the ball, Tanveer Sangha has been a tremendous asset for the visitors and could even be taken into consideration in the series against Pakistan. Nathan Ellis and Ben Dwarshuis also had a good outing and will look to continue to do so tonight as well.
