India tour of South Africa 2023–24 3rd T20I: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

In 26 encounters between the two countries in the 20-over format, India have won 13 and South Africa have won 11.

In the third and final T20I match of the bilateral series, India will take on South Africa at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg today, December 14, at 8:30 PM IST.

With only one match remaining, India can only hope to square off the series, if it does not rain here in Johannesburg. With a speedy outfield as well, tonight’s game will be high-scoring. In terms of the Indian team, Ruturaj Gaikwad might replace Shubman Gill in the XI, while Ravi Bishnoi could replace Kuldeep Yadav. One of the major positives India would be taking in this match is the form of their middle-order batters. Be it Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, or Rinku Singh, all are in supreme touch and with the match taking place at the batting paradise, these batters would like to make full use of it. With the ball too, the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar and Mohammed Siraj will look to perform better than their last outing.

For the home team, Marco Jansen and Gerald Coetzee are not featuring in tonight’s game as they are preparing for the upcoming Test series. Most probably, Nandre Burger and Ottniel Baartman will make their debut tonight. Tabraiz Shamsi, and Andile Phehlukwayo will also continue to be a part of the team. With the willow, Reeza Hendricks and skipper Aiden Markram are in good form, while the likes of Heinrich Klassen, David Miller, and Tristan Stubbs are yet to show their skills in the series.
