AC Milan has signed a multi-year contract with tech wellness company Therabody to make it the official recovery partner of the club’s Men and Women First Team. As part of this partnership, AC Milan will integrate Therabody’s devices and research into pre-and post-match training and recovery protocols to support players’ performances and optimize their overall health.
Since its launch in 2016, the company evolved from Theragun, the world’s first hand-held percussive massage therapy device, to Therabody, an entire ecosystem of wellness content, products, and services. Therabody’s devices will help AC Milan to accelerate recovery, help prevent injury, and improve the athletic performances of the players. Furthermore, the players, coaches, and medical staff will have access to Therabody’s network of health and fitness experts through Therabody University, the brand’s educational division.
AC Milan Chief Revenue Officer Casper Stylsvig welcomed Therabody to the team’s family of global partners. “As a modern and innovative Club, we have always been at the forefront when it comes to optimal management of our players. However, we are always on the lookout for new ways to improve our performance on and off the pitch and that is why we are particularly proud to join forces with Therabody recognized internationally as the leaders in self-care and wellness solutions and to be able to use their best-in-class products to support the health of our players,” said Stylsvig.
Dr. Jason Wersland, Founder and Chief Wellness Officer of Therabody, further added, “We are thrilled to be supporting AC Milan in its pursuit of player wellness. Therabody is placed among the fourth tier of the Italian club’s sponsors, along with 2A Energie, Alps, Avis, Beretta, Harmont & Blaine, La Molisana, 105.net, RisparmioCasa, ROInvesting, Segafredo and Socios.com. With this deal, AC Milan becomes the latest sports team to sign up Therabody as their sponsor. Top-tier football clubs such as Real Madrid and Arsenal, and Formula 1 team Red Bull Racing are already working with the company.
