The Indian leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal has also entered the NFT metaverse by collaborating with FanCraze, the subsidiary firm of Faze Technologies. He joined other notable cricketers like Ravichandran Ashwin and Rohit Sharma that partnered with this company. The cunning spinner would be sharing the memorabilia of his career’s iconic moments through NFTs.
Both the signatories announced this association through their official social media handles. While announcing this association through an Instagram post, Chahal said, “I’m excited to announce my exclusive partnership with FanCraze with whom I step into the cricketing metaverse. You can now get to own the most iconic moments of my career and life’s journey and build your NFT collection with FanCraze”.
FanCraze warmly welcomed the former Royal Challengers Bangalore player through an Instagram post that said, “Yuzi, the Spin Wizard sets foot in the cricket metaverse with FanCraze! Spinning through batsmen defences, one of the world’s best T20 spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal will be exclusively launching his personal NFTs on FanCraze.”
With this awaited association, the fans of the spinner would have the opportunity of owning some of his greatest cricketing moments. They can also share and trade these collectibles with other NFT users.
FanCraze has strongly managed to enter the world of cricket with its recent activities. The NFT platform earlier has also announced $17.4m in seed funding from Tiger Global, Coatue, Sequoia Capital India, Dapper Labs etc. While having multiple great cricketers under its umbrella, FanCraze also holds a three-year deal with the International Cricket Council for the rights to its huge catalogues of video and audio clips concerning cricketing moments from 1975 to create more NFTs to globalize the sport.
Chahal also recently joined the gaming platform Rooter as a content creator.
