WPL’s debut season on JioCinema draws most views of any women’s event worldwide

JioCinema also recorded more than 50 minutes of watch-time per user for each game on the WPL.

The final battle of the maiden season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) between the ultimate winners Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) witnessed more than 10 million new viewers tune in.

Following such a response, the maiden season of WPL on JioCinema has successfully achieved the most viewership in any women’s tournaments internationally.

JioCinema also recorded more than 50 minutes of watch-time per user for each game on the WPL thanks to its rich content library and engaging live action. The league surpassed early forecasts and expectations thanks to the 4K streaming, multi-cam setup, hype mode, and the large panel of experts speaking several languages.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) will be live-streamed for free in 12 languages, including English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Oriya, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, on JioCinema, which is now also accessible to Jio, Airtel, Vi, BSNL, along with other subscribers.

The IPL is all set to commence on March 31 with the reigning champions, Gujarat Titans (GT), taking on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Moreover, every game will be live on JioCinema for fans at a free cost.
