UEFA Champions League 2023-24 Final Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid: Real Madrid secure record 15th UCL title

Dani Carvajal scored the opener for Real Madrid, while Vinicius Jr sealed the game with another goal.

In UEFA’s top-tier event, the Champions League 2023–24 final, Real Madrid have claimed their 15th championship title by defeating Borussia Dortmund (BVB) 2-0 at Wembley Stadium.

Dani Carvajal scored the opener for Real Madrid, while Vinicius Jr sealed the game with another goal. The score was tied for more than 70 minutes, but Madrid found their rhythm late and won 2-0.

Dortmund experienced the game’s first big chance, with Karim Adeyemi rounding Thibaut Courtois, who was playing his first game of this Champions League season, before his shot was saved for a corner from a tight angle. They had another chance shortly after, but Niclas Fullkrug’s shot went wide of the post.

For the most part, the LALIGA unit produced little in the first half, going the entire 45 minutes without a shot on goal. Towards the end, they merely required one chance to succeed. Carvajal wandered to the near post and adhered to Toni Kroos’ corner with ease, heading past a helpless keeper to give Los Blancos a 1-0 lead with 20 minutes remaining.

Soon after, the match opened up, and Los Blancos consistently appeared to be getting a second goal. It came from Vinicius, who easily handled Jude Bellingham‘s pass before shooting low into the bottom corner to give Real Madrid their 15th Champions League title.
