The Ligue 1 powerhouse, Olympique Lyonnais secured a three-year extension with MG Motor, an automobile corporation.
This renewed agreement which began in 2021-22 has ensured the British carmaker remains the club’s exclusive automotive supplier and sleeve sponsor with the 2024-2025 season and continuing through the 2026-2027 season.

MG Motor is a car brand with a British heritage, but a Chinese present. Founded in 1924 in Oxford, UK, it was originally known as Morris Garages. Today, it’s owned by the Shanghai-based SAIC Motor, a state-owned Chinese carmaker. The vehicle manufacturer is known for its SUVs and electric vehicles, particularly in the Indian market. It has a manufacturing plant in Halol, Vadodara, Gujarat and the head office in Gurgaon, Haryana.
Lyon finished sixth in Ligue 1 last season, securing a spot in the UEFA Europa League. The new season for the team kicks off against Stade Rennais F.C. on August 18. Before that, the club will face Premier League (PL) club, Arsenal, on August 11 in this year’s Emirates Cup.
