Sunrisers Hyderabad names Cars24 as principal sponsor

Sunrisers Hyderabad's team jersey will feature the blue and orange Cars24 logo on the front as part of the newly announced strategic partnership.

Cars24, an e-commerce platform for used vehicles, has partnered with Sunrisers Hyderabad to become the new principal sponsor for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s team jersey will feature the blue and orange Cars24 logo on the front as part of the newly announced strategic partnership.

Commenting on the partnership, Sudhir Shukla, Chief Marketing Officer (India), Cars24 said, “As a brand that shares its love for cricket like the rest of the nation, we are immensely excited about this partnership. CARS24 and Sunrisers Hyderabad have a lot of similarities; for starters- we are both orange army signifying our determination to be the best and the joy we bring to our viewers and customers alike. With 10 teams to compete for the coveted title, we are sure this edition is going to grab the attention of all cricket fans across the world.”

As per SportsMint sources, the agreement is in the range of Rs 15 crore per year for the upcoming three editions.

The Sun Group-owned franchise debuted in 2013 and won its maiden IPL title in 2016. Sunrisers Hyderabad has retained their skipper Kane Williamson (Rs 14 crore), Abdul Samad (Rs 4 crore), and Umran Malik (Rs 4 crore) for IPL 2022.

In preparation for the IPL 2022, SRH named Dale Steyn as bowling coach, Brian Lara as batting coach, and Simon Katich as fielding coach.
