1Play Sports partners with Hero CPL T20

1Play Sports has entered into a partnership with Hero Caribbean Premiere League (CPL) T20 to become the exclusive Southeast Asian broadcast partner for the league which all set to get in action from August 18th onwards.

As per the deal, 1Play Sports will broadcast all the 33 games on its social media platform giving the regional audience to enjoy the live action on free basis. Also the fans can watch the best of the action in the form of highlights throughout the tournament.

CPL is one the first T20 leagues to kick off in action post pandemic and will surely gather more eyeballs than any time before because of the fans starving to watch the drama on-field.

CPL is a world-class event with the best International cricketers and is liked by everyone across the globe because of the entertainment and artistic drama on-field especially by the Windies players.

1 Play Sports fans will also have the chance to enjoy special cricket content, interactive engagement, and weekly contests throughout the near month-long carnival.

Mohit Lalvani, CEO 1 Play Sports sees the deal as a significant one for the young company. “Strategically this is an important step for 1 Play Sports. Our philosophy is to ensure that communities, large and small, come together over sports at no cost to them. Cricket sits at the top of our acquisition and content strategy and I must thank the Hero CPL T20 management for their assistance.”

Peter Russell, COO of Hero CPL, said, “We are very pleased to partner with 1 Play Sports to bring the 2020 Hero CPL to cricket fans across Southeast Asia. The anticipation for the return of top-class T20 cricket is clear to see, and we are so pleased that Hero CPL is the first tournament back.”
