Sportec Solutions, DFB prolong partnership for Frauen-Bundesliga

Following the extension, Sportec Solutions will be working as the official data provider to the Frauen-Bundesliga and men's 3.Liga

The German sports technology company, Sportec Solutions has unveiled a partnership extension with the governing body of football in Germany, the German Football Association (DFB).

Following the extension of the alliance, the German sports technology entity will be working as the official data service provider to the top-tier women’s football league in Germany, Frauen-Bundesliga (Women’s Bundesliga), along with the third division league of football for men, 3.Liga.

Through this renewal, the company will be covering 512 matches, from the beginning of the 2023-24 season. All data of the matches will be analysed and covered by Sportec in its data solutions centre in Munich.

The existing collaboration between the two entities is already involved in covering men’s and women’s national teams, the national youth sides, and the men’s DFB Cup.

Christian Holzer, Sportec Solutions’ Managing Director, said, “We are very proud to extend our partnership with the DFB and to be able to capture and refine the official match data of the 3. Liga and the Frauen-Bundesliga. We are convinced that our technology will help to further advance the development of both leagues, benefiting fans, players, coaches, and analysts.”

Commenting on the extension, Manuel Hartmann,  DFB’s Managing Director of Match Operations, stated, “The deepened cooperation with Sportec Solutions will result in a significant upgrade of both the Frauen-Bundesliga and the 3. Liga. The wider availability of comprehensive data for all participating clubs from the coming season paves the way for general professionalization”.

He also commented, “It’s hugely important for us to constantly expand our services for clubs and coaches to provide them with added value that will benefit the development of our competitions in the long term.”
