English Premier League club Southampton FC on Friday, announced its stadium improvements that are budgeted around $3.4 million. The stadium will get significant enhancements, the aim of the up-gradation is to elevate the fan experience.
The improvements come after the home stadium of the club, St. Mary’s celebrate its 20th anniversary and will be building even larger jumbo-sized screens inside the stadium for a better experience for the fans.
The screens will provide for maximized fan engagements along with improved kiosks. The kiosks will provide for decreased queue times, this will increase the engagement between the fans and the club.
Southampton finished on the 15th spot in the Premier League 2020/21 season with 43 points in 38 matches as they dodged a place in the relegation zone and will playing yet another season of the English top-flight.
The stadium will be getting a refreshed look ahead of the new season and brand new banners will be also installed around the vicinity. With the captain’s wall also being improved for the first time since 1885, the stadium’s enhancements are all set to be completed in the next few months.
Southampton FC will be seen in action on Saturday in Club Friendlies against Swansea at the Liberty Stadium at 7:30 PM IST. They will be playing their first Premier League fixture of the upcoming season against Everton on August 14 at 7:30 PM IST at Goodison Park.
