Southampton FC forge commercial ties with Moonpig

As part of the deal, Moonpig has been named Southampton FC's official memorable moments partner.

The English Football League (EFL) Championship team, Southampton FC have signed a partnership with the leading online card and gift retailer, Moonpig.

As part of the deal, the brand has been named the team’s official memorable moments partner. The new arrangement will include Moonpig’s emblem on the back of the unit’s men’s first-team shorts.

As Moonpig’s first football collaboration, the brand intends to help the team succeed on the pitch during what is set to be an exciting end-of-season run-in as it seeks promotion.

On March 29, the latest update to the outfit made its debut against Middlesbrough at St Mary’s, where the match finished 1-1.

Moonpig, renowned for its popular jingle, excellent pig mascots, and an assortment of personalised cards and gifts, aims to assist the nation in making stronger and more personal relationships by recognising the moments that matter, a vision the side shares as a community-based family club.

Southampton FC, Chief Commercial Officer, Charlie Boss, said, “We’re delighted to partner with a renowned brand like Moonpig. For more than two decades they’ve been connecting people across the world and we’re excited to have them onboard as we enter the business end of the season.”

Moonpig’s Marketing Director, UK, Dan Staples, commented, “We’re excited to be working with Saints in what could prove to be one of the most nail biting promotion run-ins ever seen in the Championship. Many of our customers personalise cards inside and out with photos capturing their most memorable moments in life, and together we hope there’ll be many memorable moments for all Saints fans as the end of the season approaches.”

The team, which is fourth in the points rankings, will face Ipswich Town FC tonight. The squad will try to defeat the table toppers, which will increase its chances of finishing in the top three.
