Ecowatt joins Southampton FC as official kit partner

Ecowatt has been summoned by the club as the official training kit partner for the remainder of the ongoing season.

The Premier League (PL) club, Southampton FC, has signed the dotted lines with the blockchain-powered renewable energy company, Ecowatt.

In this association, Ecowatt has been summoned by the English top-flight club as the official training kit partner for the remainder of the ongoing season of the competition. The branding of the green investment company will be featured on men’s first team, B team and women’s first team training kits.

Ecowatt’s major purpose is to purchase and build renewable power stations for rapid expansion of the supply along with financially backing projects that are instrumental in decreasing carbon dioxide. The two involved parties will also collaborate to reduce the club’s overall carbon emissions.

Speaking on the partnership, Sarah Batters, Director of Partnerships and Marketing for Southampton Football Club said, “We are proud to be partnering with Ecowatt, an organisation which understands the issues around climate change and is making it easy, fast, and convenient for anyone to contribute to climate action in whatever way they can.

“As a club, we are fully committed to ensuring a sustainable future for our fans and community, so we support EcoWatt’s mission, and we look forward to working together throughout the season to better our planet.”

Thomas Puskas, Founder & CEO of Ecowatt added, “We believe that innovative investment will save the world. We are thrilled to work with this club which has such a genuine and meaningful commitment towards becoming more sustainable and we’re looking forward to accelerating the change with them.”

Commenting on the association, Lauren Haworth, Global Marketing Director of EcoWatt said, “This partnership gets to the heart of what real branding is really about, authentic collaborations between brands that share similar values. We are so excited to work with Southampton, and together we can make a real tangible difference through more sustainability initiatives that benefit the club, the fans and the planet.”

Apart from this brand-new partnership, the team also signed deals with the likes of JD Sports and KBE Drinks for the ongoing season of the competition.

The Southampton-based club isn’t having the desired Premier League campaign so far as the team is on the verge of relegation. Southampton FC have acquired the 17th spot on the table with 12 points. The team will be next seen in action on Sunday, November 6 against Newcastle United at 7:30 PM IST.
