Rohit Sharma, Oakley collaborate with OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation

The primary objective of the collaboration between Rohit Sharma, Oakley and OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation is to raise understanding about the significance of good sight.

The global leader in sports performance eyewear, Oakley and Rohit Sharma, the captain of the men’s Indian cricket team and Oakley brand ambassador in India, have joined forces with the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation.

This initiative has been made to raise understanding about the significance of good sight and to provide viable access to eye care where it is not currently available.

During the full-day event in Gurugram, about 1000 disadvantaged school-aged children aged 10 to 15 years attended an eye clinic to evaluate their visual acuity. Children who needed vision correction were given free Oakley Eyeglasses equipped with prescription lenses.

The partnership between Oakley, Rohit Sharma, and the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation aims to improve the lives of individuals by increasing the availability of vision care while encouraging the transformational potential of sports. The OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation will keep working to provide vision examinations and glasses to school-aged children in Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka, with the goal of reaching 1,000 children.

On the initiative, Rohit Sharma, said, “I am honoured to be a part of this empowering initiative by Oakley and OneSight.
