RCD Espanyol renew sponsorship deal with Skoda

Both the men's and women's teams of Espanyol are covered under the agreement through the 2023–24 season.

The LaLiga club, RCD Espanyol have announced a new renewed sponsorship deal with the Czech automotive manufacturer, Skoda.

Both the men’s and women’s teams of Espanyol are covered under the agreement through the 2023–24 season.

With the signing of the sponsorship agreement with the Barcelona-based club, back in 2018 for the first time, Skoda officially entered the football sponsorship market. In 2020, the agreement was expanded to include the women’s squad as well.

Moreover, Skoda will give the club 80 vehicles as part of the expanded deal for use during the season. The management team, technical personnel, and players will all have access to vehicles.

Additionally, Espanyol will also use the vehicles to transport children from out of town for practice and games.

Fidel Jiménez de Parga, General Director of Skoda España, said, “Renewing with RCD Espanyol is very special for us, as it allows us to continue to be present in the elite of football at the hand of a club with which we share the values ​​of humility, work and improvement. The consolidation of this relationship also allows us to continue advancing in our commitment to equality in sport and society with the sponsorship of the women’s and men’s teams, in the same way that we also do in other sports such as cycling.”

The Tour of Britain and the Women’s Tour are two more cycling competitions that are supported by Skoda’s UK business.
