Luton Town FC strengthen collaboration with the University of Bedfordshire

Following this deal, the University of Bedfordshire has become Luton Town FC’s official education partner.

The Premier League (PL) club, Luton Town FC have signed a sponsorship expansion agreement with the University of Bedfordshire.

Following this deal, the public research university has become the club’s official education partner. The new arrangement, which will provide students with a variety of educational and professional development options, expands on the two parties’ existing connection, which began more than a decade ago.

The University of Bedfordshire will continue to maintain the existing advertising boards and also now place its brand on the sleeves of the training jerseys worn by the men’s, academy, and women’s teams.

The collaboration between the University and the club will provide students enrolled in sports-related courses like Sport & Exercise Science and Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation in addition to other course areas like Business and Sports Journalism with outstanding chances to advance their careers and work experience. These will consist of visits to the training facility of Luton Town FC and tickets to home games for students in a chosen number of pertinent courses, such as BSC Sport Coaching Science, giving them an inside look at the inner workings of a PL team.

Adrian Dutch, Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of Bedfordshire, commented, “We are extremely excited and proud to be partnering with Luton Town Football Club to deliver this new educational programme that puts students right at the heart of the partnership. As two local cornerstone institutions, the University has enjoyed a great relationship with the Club for more than ten years and we are looking forward to building on this association as we launch a range of new opportunities and initiatives to enhance the student learning experience.”

Chris Bell, Luton Town Commercial Director, said, “It’s a really exciting time to expand the long and strong relationship between the Club and the University of Bedfordshire. We will be able to offer amazing experiences to students and staff to develop within a truly unique environment. We have a number of University of Beds alumni currently working for the Club in different areas of the Club. As the Club continues to grow and develop with Power Court on the horizon this is a perfect time to deepen our excellent relationship with the University of Bedfordshire.”

Along with the unveiling of the newly formed collaboration, the University is also announcing the launch of a novel MBA in Business Administration, which will be delivered in cooperation between the School of Sport Science & Physical Activity and the University of Bedfordshire Business School. This program will provide additional opportunities for students to get engaged with the club and gain beneficial industry experience.
