Hyderabad FC is an Indian professional football club based in Hyderabad, Telangana and currently plays in the Indian top flight, the Indian Super League. The club saw its entry in the ISL recently, as it joined the league two seasons back during the 2019/20 season.
The club replaced Pune City FC as they were disbanded and their franchise rights were sold to the Telangana businessman Vijay Madduri and former Kerala Blasters CEO Varun Tripuraneni, later actor Rana Daggubati announced himself as one of the co-owners.
In their first season of the ISL, Hyderbad finished last in the league table, collecting only 10 points from their 18 league matches. Last season they showed a great comeback, finishing fifth in the table, collecting 29 points in 20 league games, missing the play-off spot by one place.

Hyderabad FC has joined hands with the Danish sportswear brand, hummel, labelling it the club’s official kit sponsor in this ongoing ISL season. The sportswear brand has already made a name for itself in the market, it is associated with various football clubs like Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Benfica, Aston Villa, Everton, and more. But they wanted to spread their business in the Indian market, following which they landed a partnership with Hyderabad FC.
Moving on, the club has signed a partnership with the online news portal, DafaNews, the club has labelled the news portal as their principal sponsor this season. Apart from that, the brand logo of DafaNews could also be seen on all the match jerseys of the team.
The Hyderabad-based club has continued its association with India’s leading electronics retail chain, Vijay Sales. Hyderabad FC has named Vijay Sales as the associate partner of the club, while the brand will be promoting itself by displaying its logo on the player’s match jerseys.
While in one-of-its-kind partnerships, Hyderabad FC has landed a sponsorship deal with an upcoming film “Maidaan”. It is an upcoming Hindi-language biographical sports film based on the golden era of Indian football (1952–1962). The film has Ajay Devgan in the lead role and it is directed by Amit Sharma. This unique partnership, between sports and cinema, aims to help the young generation talents to get a certain motivational boost by bringing certain stories of Indian footballers into the limelight.
Hyderabad FC has Bundesliga giants, Borussia Dortmund as their official club partner, where the German club will be lending its expertise in coaching education and academy development. The club has also roped in Polyhose as their principal sponsor alongside DafaNews. Lastly, Srinivasa’s Hello Eggs and The Gaudium have joined the club as associate sponsors alongside Vijay Sales, and Reliance Foundation as their grassroots and youth development partner.
In the opening match, Hyderabad FC had to suffer a defeat against Chennaiyin FC on November 23. However, the club will look forward to their next fixture against Mumbai City FC to secure their first win on November 27.
