IPL 2023 MI vs SRH: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

In the head-to-head competition, MI have the upper hand over SRH.

In the 69th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Mumbai Indians (MI) will host Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) tomorrow i.e. Sunday, May 21 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai at 3:30 PM IST.

MI will be playing their last fixture of the league stage and their fate partially decides on the outcome of this game. A defeat could most likely confirm the five-time champions’ exit but a victory also won’t confirm their berth in the knockouts stage of the competition. The biggest disadvantage for Mumbai Indians going into this fixture is their poor NRR, which was hampered following a defeat against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Marching into this fixture, the best Rohit Sharma and his men could do is beat their opponent because still a lot of things depend upon the rest of the games which will be played over the weekend. The Mumbai-based team has 14 points to their name with seven victories and six defeats.

On the other hand, SRH have had their worst season so far in this competition. The 2016 champions are currently at the bottom of the table with eight points to their name. The Hyderabad-based team played 13 games, out of which won four and lost nine times. Nothing went right for Sunrisers Hyderabad despite having multiple renowned T20 players from across the globe. The Aiden Markram-led team didn’t lack resources but lacked tuning and coordination among the players. While there’s nothing to gain for SRH through this fixture but still they would want to conclude the season on a positive note.

Head-to-Head:

In the head-to-head competition, MI have the upper hand as they won 11 out of 20 games while SRH emerged victorious in the rest nine fixtures.

In the last outing between the two teams, which took place earlier this year, Mumbai triumphed over Hyderabad by 14 runs.
